Maricelly graduated in Chemical Engineering from the University of America in Bogotá in 2012, before graduating with a Masters in Petroleum Engineering from the National University of Colombia in 2015. She then moved to Canada and the University of Sherbrooke for a PhD in chemical engineering in cotutelle with IMT Mines Albi in France. After graduating in 2020, she pursued post-doctoral studies on the valorization of residues for the production of fuels and high value-added molecules. She joined Innofibre as a researcher where she focuses on the paper-making machine projects.
