Wendy has over 8 years of experience in the formulation and processing of naturally occurring polymers to develop multifunctional materials and their characterization. In 2007, Wendy obtained her Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. She is a master's and doctoral student in Materials Science at the Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute (Cinvestav) in Mexico, which she completed in 2015. Wendy completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Research on Advanced Materials (CERMA) at Université Laval in 2015-2016, a postdoctoral fellowship at the Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Physics at the University du Quebec de Trois-Rivières UQTR (2019-2020) and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute for Innovations in Ecomaterials, Ecoproducts and Eco-Energies (I2E3) at UQTR in 2021. She joined the Innofibre team in the fall of 2021.
